Since I first began routesetting professionally in 2021 I have been obsessed with the industry and its various aspects.

I am always keen to explore how I can develop interdependently a route setter and where I can share my insight with others in a team.

I enjoy large empty blank panels and taking space with volumes and macros to build out permanent wall features to nurture a consistent flow throughout spaces.

However on the contrary I welcome challenge and believe I thrive when working with the constraint of a “less optimal” wall space and hold selections. I love creating something amazing where most would be satisfied with what could be considered acceptable.

I can never truly decide whether I am predominantly a rope or boulder dominant setter. I am beginning to accept that I will never know.

While that may be, I strongly believe my experience in both is cooperative and the differences in them allows my creativity to stretch further than just one or the other.

More specifically I believe I have a strong understanding of the modern competition style of climbing - as this was previously a weakness of mine - and the more common, static and “old school” style.

All of which I enjoy thoroughly.
